The Trauma TV show tells the story of a group of paramedics who are working in the city of San Francisco, California. The drama show is still in its first year and has so far aired 11 episodes on the NBC network. The first show was aired on September 28th, 2009 and the series’ grand finale is planned to be on the 10th of May, 2010, which will also be their 20th episode.

Actor Derek Luke plays one of the lead characters in this TV series and plays the role of the character of Cameron Boone who is a paramedic. In the series he is married and has two kids and works with Tyler Briggs who is his co-paramedic. Both of them enjoy their work relationship but they often get into arguments over trivial matters. The problem that Cameron has is that he can’t discuss the horrors of his work with his wife but he feels the urge to talk to someone about it and he has also been caught having affairs by his wife Sela.

The other important character in the series is that of Tyler Briggs whose role in the series is played by actor Kevin Ranken. Tyler has recently survived a helicopter crash that killed Terry Banner an EMT. The loss left Tyler deeply wounded and he is trying hard now to come out of his closet.

The leading female role of Trauma is that of Nancy Carnahan, who is played by Anastasia Griffith. Nancy and Terry were co-paramedics; after Terry’s death, Nancy teamed with a newcomer to the force named Glenn Morrison. Glenn is played by actor Taylor Kinney. The rest of the squad, including Nancy, teases and ridicules Glen for being the latest addition to the team. However, Nancy also has had intimate moments with Glen on a number of occasions. The two have not slept together, and the other EMT members wager that time is coming soon.

Some of the other characters in the series are Marisa Benez whose role is played by Aimee Garcia, Glenn Morrison whose role is played by Taylor Kinney, Dr. Joseph “Joe” Saviano whose role is played by Jamey Sheridan and Reuben “Rabbit” Palchuck whose role is played by Cliff Curtis. Another character is of a new ER named Diana Van Dine whose role is played by Scottie Thompson.

A lady with black dresses and gothic hair style seems to be the odd one out in the team but her presence in inevitable in the team as she is the expert forensic, Abby Sciuto. The mention worthy character is Caitlin Kate Todd a former United States Secret Service Agent who was killed in the final episode of season 2 by a terrorist called Ari Haswari. Her death takes a strange turn in the story when Ziva David a former Mossad agent came to work at Kate’s place who eventually turns to be the half-sister of Ari Haswari. Ziva kills Haswari and the season 3 of the series starts.

This action packed show gets interesting day by day as the storyline is very strong more than the technicalities used to detect crime. The characters play their respective parts so well that the audience never feels that they are watching acting of some people. The whole unit becomes original crime fighters. The issues that are dealt with in the show are crime but the atmosphere is not always heavy. Agents are quite casual in their attitude yet extreme serious at their work. You can find humor every now and then in the episodes.

Agent Gibbs is more like a father to the other team members than a leader. His expressions and not words talk for him. Abby Sciuto is a fun loving girl and detective Tony Dinozzo tries his best to befriend with Ziva David. Sometimes Ziva’s attitude is responsive and sometimes she remains aloof.

The cases the team has to solve are strange and very interesting. The most entertaining part is to get the key person of every criminal activity, so each episode is worthy watching for.

In general the nature of people is to get attracted towards mystery stories and crime thrillers. The show will not disappoint the viewers, as they will get the taste of thrill in all the episodes.
