With speculations doing rounds of applause, season 6 of the most anticipated “Lost” series was all set to present high-end drama and action packed episodes. But you can all put that to rest now. It has rather been shaky start to an otherwise renowned “Lost” series.

The episode 3 on Tuesday night ,”What Kate Does”, spent most of its time consuming the audience with the emotional scenes of Kate and Sawyer in remembrance of a cruel past and agonies of leadership with regards to their leader Jack. Hint of drama at the end of the episode but clearly not enough to draw attention of the viewers given the subdued tone of the episode.

It all starts immediately after Sayid’s resurrection with Hurley overjoyed by the prospects and Jack seemingly puzzled by it. To Sawyer his resurrection wasn’t a surprise. Somehow he knew he was coming back. He thinks it’s important for him to go ahead into the jungle. So he marches off. Meanwhile, Kate follows him with other two escorts Aldo and Justin.

Meanwhile inside the temple sayid is wired up to a hang cranked battery by Dogen. Due to this sayid is burnt by the hot metal, which sayid used to do to his prisoners in Iraq. This is explained later by ,Lenon who tells that this is to prove that he is not possessed by evil powers.

In the forest, Aldo tries holding his temper as he convinces Kate that the survivors were not being treated cruelly rather they were being safeguarded from the men-in-black or the black smoke as they were called. Aldo still remembers how Kate had thumped him down in a move to flee the Other’s prison about three years back. As Jin comes along hunting for Sun, she finally breaks away from him knocking down Justin with one of the Rosseau’s booby trap.

Again returning to the temple scene jack asks for certain things to be explained by Dogen and demands for it. It is interesting to note that a slight line of humor goes under tone in all the characters of the show. It can be very well seen when Lenin grins at jack and jack says “did I say something funny”. For which Lenin answers “I doubt it. You don’t really have a sense of humor”. its cool and this is a common characteristic of most of the characters of the show like Kate, sawyer, jack etc.

Dogen forces jack to give a green colored tablet to Sayid saying that only he can succeed in doing that given the confidence that Sayid has on him, but jack is little confused. Frustrated, he finally tries to take the tablet himself. Dogen stops him and admits that he was attempting to kill sayid as he seemed fascinated by the dark powers. Jack questions his instinct. The story takes a great twist here. They reveal that his half sister, Claire was also captivated by the dark powers.

The show is full of emotions and drama involving Kate and sawyer. Especially in the scenes where Kate finds sawyer weeping over Juliet’s death and gets him down to an Others compounds. Neither Kate is able to hold her emotions. Kate feeling sorry is being shown in the flashback too. The only scene where the show brings about a surprise is when Claire comes back, that too with an exact timing when Aldo was just about to kill Jin. So what does her return signify? Does she carry dark powers with her? What she has got to do in the rest of the series? Check out all yourself the coming week!

In the year 2002 on July 12 a series started on the USA Network called Monk. This series revolves round police proceedings with a comic touch in it. The central character’s name is Adrian Monk, portrayed by Tony Shalhoub, who works as a detective in San Francisco Police Department.

The story shows that Adrian had a unique memory and crime detection ability by assimilating little clues. But unfortunately his beloved wife Trudy got murdered by a car bomb inside a parking garage and the murderer was not found. This incident was a major shock to Adrian and he fall victim to serious obsessive-compulsive disorder and different phobias.

His mental disorder became the cause of his forceful leave from the San Francisco Police Department. Adrian started to work as a private detective. The former detective then desperately tries to convince his former boss, Captain Leland Stottlemeyer to reassign him to his police duties. Monk’s main aim is to find out the real motive behind the murder of his wife and the murderer. Stottlemeyer is confused about Monk. On one hand he feels disgusted about the eccentric behavior of Monk on the other hand is well aware of the credibility of Monk. In his medical leave Monk is called several times for help in criminal investigation. The person who is the second command in chief after Stottlemeyer ,also started to admire Adrian for his abilities and feel compassionate for his condition. His name is Lieutenant Randall Disher. This appreciation comes very lately as early on Randall Disher used to call Monk as a defective detective.

Compulsive-obsessive disorder is such a disease which changes the behavior and attitude of a normal person. It is not exception in Adrian’s case. His irritations become so much intense sometimes that he becomes intolerable. Cinematic liberty allows Adrian to move freely as this type of patients are hospitalized and are given high sedatives. His way of talking and giving extra time on sharpening pencil shows his abnormality.

The series has successfully completed eight seasons with some specific changes. The starting theme music has been replaced by the song written and performed by Randy Newman. Some characters are replaced equally. Like the nurse who was the caretaker of Adrian. Bitty Schram played this part but was removed by Traylor Howard, new assistant of Adrian, named Natalie Teeger. Dr. Charles Kroger’s role was given to Stanley Kamel who suddenly succumbed to heart attack. The production house showed in the series that Dr. Kroger has passed away by cardiac failure and introduced Dr. Neven Bell as the new therapist of the detective played by Hector Elizondo.

The vital replacement of character in the series occurred due to an unfortunate incident. Stanley Kamel used to play as Adrian’s psychiatrist Dr. Charles Kroger. In real life Stanley Kamel passed away due to heart attack. The production house showed respect by showing the exact reason of death of Dr. Charles Kroger as the character had. Hector Elizondo plays Monk’s new therapist Dr. Neven Bell . Despite of changes the show has not lost its potentiality and is loved by numerous viewers.

A woman with psychic powers, a big bad world of crime and the tussle to give justice to the poor souls are the main features that are depicted in a very interesting way in the TV show “Medium”. A production of CBS this show takes the viewers in the journey from the real world to the world of parapsychology.

The storyline is like this – Allison DuBois is a woman with three children. Her husband Joe is an aerospace engineer. Allison is also studying law. Apart from these very common and natural things in the lady’s life there is something very extraordinary. This woman is gifted from her very childhood. She has an inborn power to communicate with dead people. She can visualize the future in her dreams and can read other people’s minds. With the passing of days Allison’s unique ability makes her feel many strange incidents. At first she is intimidated and thinks that she has some kind of mental problem. Desperately she seeks help and support from her husband. But her husband Joe, gradually realizes that the dreams, his wife is talking about might just not be of any kind of normal nightmares. She must have some kind of uncanny link with the dreams. Allison mostly sees dead people in her dreams. After some stray incidents it can be seen that Allison is working in the district attorney’s office as an assistant. But he r nature of work is of a strange manner. She helps to solve cases with the assistance from the dead people. The incidents that come into her dreams are horrific and complicated. The problem here is that the law cannot press charges to any individual on the basis of someone else’s dream. Allison’s task is to look back into the incidents and provide the police with good evidences to make necessary arrests and moreover ample hard core proof to the prosecutors to charge the guilty in the court of law.

The show steals the hearts of the viewers by not only with the subject matter but also with the convincing performances by the characters played by various artists. Patricia Arquett plays the lead Allison DuBois and her husband Joe’s character is performed by Jake Weber. Lee Scanlon is an efficient detective who helps Allison solving the mysterious cases. This role is done by David Cubitt. The character of Allison’s boss the district attorney is casted by Miguel Sandoval. Sofia Vassilieva and Maria Lark play the two eldest children of Allison and Joe named Ariel and Bridgett respectively.

One episode of Medium deals with a full story. The story starts and ends in the same episode so it holds the attention of the watchers. Some other simple yet compact things increase the attraction apart from crime and occult are the bond between the husband and wife. Joe is a complete friend of Allison, listens and talks with her about the experiences she is passing through which is a desirable thing to every woman. The children’s presence in the house makes it livelier as any other household.

A man wakes up in the middle of a forest all bared and covered in goo like substance as he tries to understand the stranger world around him. Who is he? An alien or a result of a scientific experiment. Nobody really knows.

All the things around him leave him quiet confused and only many unsolved question lay ahead for him. Like who is he where is he from and what is he for? Suddenly he hears voices from a nearby tent and goes up to them and ends up disturbing a young couple who were being intimate. As the scream and him and drive him off, he moves to the city where everyone are astonished seeing him nude. A police man Lou Trager takes him to a detention centre. Nicole brings him back taking a special interest on him thinking he might be a special child.

It’s amazing how in spite of being an abnormal human figure he adjusts so well into the family that he eventually becomes a part of it with just one major difference-Exceptional intelligence.

He starts to live with trager and family and learns the unique habits of all the family members. Though in the beginning he was interpreted to be a mentally disabled person by the children, Lori and josh, his consistent association with the family in all the issues and his exceptional brain power ends up in establishing a profound relationship between him and the family in which he becomes a very important person.

Their deep connection with him is very obvious from the fact that the family doesn’t wish in disclosing Kyle (the name given by Nicole, who was believed to be his mother) to anyone as they felt that others might take advantage and make use of his supernatural powers or the government might subject him to scientific research purposes. Gradually and firmly his character gains strength with the shows as he gets to know the human ways of life.

The end of season one addresses the introduction of a completely unknown but invulnerable human figure into the Trager’s family with almost everybody kind of accepting him as a loveable family member who’s always there for everyone in the family ,the same way the family is there for him every time. Second season, however, brings a lot of twists and plot into the family drama making it hell of a lot more exciting to the viewers.

Truly an exciting series of extraordinary events with action packed scenes, emotions, drama and what not. A story about how an alien figure goes through different dilemmas in his life while understanding human ways of doing things. While the first season is all about Kyle and his search for a place in the society and also of his identity, the second season introduces a female clone with exactly similar behavioral patterns as a part of the storyline. It really gets interesting when this female figure search for her male counterpart, who is Kyle by the way, and brings in a lot of excitement and drama into the serial. A fascinating new season about two alien figures with extraordinary powers. Will they ever meet their destiny???

Well, Kim Kardashian is somebody who comes along as a famous person with great ambitions for life. Her strong connections with her friend Paris Hilton have always influenced her ways of dressing and appearing and possibly responding to inadvertent and unauthorized release of sex tapes. Like her friend, she also has a history of shooting for sexually explicit films which apparently in some or the other way becomes a public exhibition. You know the internet people. One moment you are shooting for some authentic adult film, and the other moment it becomes a dubious source of public fantasy.

But unlike the show “Simple Life with Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie”, it has a much better appeal to the general audience. Back in the show, the release of tapes with Kim’s ex-boyfriend Ray-J leaves her mother a little worried. But unlike any conventional mother, Kim’s mother, Kris Jener, can only see hot bucks for her daughter.

“Keeping Up With Kardashians” is a sneak peak into a family that only understands family values in terms of individual opportunism. Ms. Kardashian, her sisters and younger brother are the children of Robert Kardashian, the Los Angeles marketing executive, now dead, who was involved in renewing his legal license to come to the defense of his close friend O. J. Simpson in his murder trial. Acting as the head of the family now is Bruce Jenner, the 1976 Olympic gold medalist whose significance is attributed to the fact that his name is only absent from the show’s title, even though he is the only person who has accomplished something in life.

He is kind of a domestic person who’s always on the lookout of their daughters not getting involved in some kind of sexual activities in their own house or somewhere outside. His wife is preoccupied with a clothing boutique all thanks to her daughter. According to Kim her mother overworks her sometimes. She doesn’t like her questioning attitude at all.

The show definitely draws comparisons from the reality series,” “, about Mr. Simmons, the Kiss star; his companion, Shannon Tweed; and their children. While the Simmon’s show had the eccentricity of a conventional family, the Kardashian’s show is more about desperate women seeking desperate measures to climb the ladders of success, and that feels a lot creepier.

Apart from the parents the family includes the younger brother rob along with his five sisters, Kloe, Kourtney, Kim, Kendall and Kylie. The first three sisters Kloe, Kim and Kourtney work at the boutique and are shown to be pretty close with one another and share their emotions to each other freely.

To sum up it all, though everyone had a difference of opinion and largely differed in attitude and nature, ultimately they share a great bond within the family that keeps them going together.

Science crosses difficult and complex barriers with the help of mathematics for newer inventions and discoveries for the betterment of mankind. But the astonishment comes when we come to know that mathematics is a vital weapon through which fight against crime becomes easily possible. Taking ideas from real life events a fictional series has come up on CBS called Numb3ers. The story takes place in the city where crime rate is very high – Los Angeles. Conventional investigation of police with a mix up of intense mathematical calculations is the combined force here, to solve cases that seem to have no trace to follow. It is a Scott Free Productions venture with CBS Television Studios and Post 109.

Two brothers work here for the same purpose. Fighting criminal activities, but their modus operendi is totally different. The big brother Don Eppes is a special agent in FBI. His assets are his skill, dexterity and hard working nature mixed with his experiences. The younger one is Charlie Eppes who teaches mathematics in California University and is a master in that subject. The brothers are not so much close to each other. Don reluctantly asks his brother Charlie to join the bureau and he does so. Later on while working together the brothers share a good bond.

At first it might seem that this series is just like any other crime series, the normal persuasion and bursting of doors by FBI agents. But as the story proceeds the viewers will find that a superb blending of police work and mathematical calculations reveal the nature of crime committed, find clues and solve the cases brilliantly. The combination of conception, perception, hard work and extreme intelligence is visible in each episode. The confluence of mathematics and police is not new. It can be seen in real life from where the inspiration of this show has been adapted to give a new taste of thriller to the audience.

Don Epps is an agent dedicated to his work. His methodology of working is to strictly follow details of evidences and hard facts based on his experiences. Whereas the eccentric genius Charlie Epps follows the path of hard core mathematical calculations, probabilities and equations to reach the end of something. The brothers might follow different avenues but their aim is the same, put an end to crime. Both the brothers are able to succeed in their tasks using their respective expertise and combining them together.

There are other efficient personalities who extend the brothers their helping hands. Larry Fleinhardt the gifted man with mathematical genius, a true guide of Charlie. Amita Ramanujan, another sharp minded mathematician whose knowledge helps the brother duo a lot in investigations. The later episodes show a romantic angle between Charlie and Amita. David Sinclair and Terry Lake two other colleagues of Don and Charlie in the bureau.

Numb3ers is created by Cheryl Heuton and Nicolas Falacci. In the casting there are – Don Morrow as Don Eppes, David Krumholtz as Charlie, Navi Rawat as Amita, Alimmi Ballad as Sinclair and Peter MaCinol as Fleinhardt. A hilarious comedy show has come up on ABC Network called “MY Wife and Kids”. This comedy show is actually a family drama of an African American upper middle class family living in Stamford. A compact patriarch family with affectionate characters, strong moral values and positive messages are the key features of the show. Comedy is the backbone of the series. Well known actor Damon Wayans plays a caring husband and a responsible father of 3 children in the name of Michael Kyle. Michael is always trying hard to inculcate practical knowledge into his children according to his own way of understanding the world.

The family resides in Stamford. It is a rich family where the head of the family Michael Kyle is the owner of a truck company. Michael’s wife Jay is a lawyer. They have two daughters and one son. The story tells that their son Jr. and his girlfriend Vanessa live with the family and currently Vanessa has given birth to a baby boy. Damon’s elder daughter Claire studies in high school and she is a senior there. The younger daughter of Jay and Damon is a pretty baby girl called Kady. The bondage among the family members is worthy to follow.

Every member of the family undergoes some kind of ups and downs in their lives which is shown in extreme funny ways. Michael is always busy in teaching his children the righteous path of life and is ready to provide any assistance they need. When Jay loses her stockbroking job Michael hires her to check on his company’s accounts. Finally Jay decides to study again and initiate a restaurant business. Jr. and his girlfriend have a baby boy. As every other teenage parents they are not aware of the ways to handle a baby. Especially Jr.whose new parent status petrifies him. Michael tries his best to keep off his elder daughter Claire from dating with boys as he feels very insecure like any other father who has a growing daughter. The baby daughter of Michael and Jay is Kady who feels insecure as his brother just has a new born baby and the attention of all the family members go to the boy. But she gets the support of the whole family to remove her false insecurities. Little Kady has a friend called Franklin whose presence makes life complicated for Michael.

This show has a very nice family value where the viewers can realize family ties should be like all for one and one for all. The family bonding is shown in such a comic way that people will love the family and laugh a lot at what goes in the family the problems and the solutions, everything happens in a hilarious mood. Throughout the episodes very positive attitudes can be seen as the black family continues to lead life. In some episodes special guest appearances of actors from different popular shows surprise the audience.

The casting in the series is as follows – Daman Wayans is in the main lead Michael Kyle, his wife’s role is played by Tisha Campbell, George Gore III is Jr. and Jennifer Freeman is acting as Claire. A very cute little girl called Parker Posey is portraying Kady.

It is a very good effort on ABC’s part to present the viewers with such a nice family drama with moral values mixed with heavy punch of comedy in it. Hopefully the show lasts for long to entertain people.

The “abortion” case is the most litigious of all the hitherto broadcasted 20 seasons of the series “law and order” that is being in the run for a long time. Quite a sensitive subject to be handled, abortion was dealt with only a couple of times in the preceding sequences without much of social importance. This greatly hyped episode presents the murder of a physician in a cathedral who does long term operations. The incidents in the show are being portrayed as pure fiction with the support of a disclaimer. But this episode bears a strong resemblance to the case of Dr. George R. Thriller, the one who was dealing with a lot of abortion cases. He was shot dead on 31st of May very similarly in a church in Wichita, Kan.

NBC has very cleverly managed to promote the episode thereby addressing the social issue to a great number of television viewers who do not get to watch many shows focusing on real time issues. This way, the attempt to preserve the social importance is also accomplished.

The NBC networks held the fourth position among the four most popular and major broadcasters, which was voted by young TV viewers and adults. For the promotion of the series the executive producer and director of the series, Dick Wolf had passed on the episode to several writers informing it to be the most controversial episode on the series ever to be telecast.

No episode generated as much response as the “dignity” episode did, not even the “life choice” which came in the first season and “progeny” that hit the screens in the fifth season. The episode has triggered a great deal of controversy with a section of people debating on the vigorous attempts taken by the cops and the district lawyers and other skeptical about their commitment in the case.

No networks or advertisers have ever touched this subject for the past four decades. When it was last broadcasted in the episode of” Maude” on the CBS in 1972 it created a lot of controversies. The public reacted against it and it was even removed from the repeat later in that year’s summer.

Even the abortion episode from the “Family Guy” got stripped off air on similar grounds. Although Fox networks fully supported the producers’ right to make the episode and distribute it in whatever way they wanted to the “Family Guy” fans. The program’s producers sponsored a live reading of the script last summer to promote the show’s nomination for an Emmy for best comedy series, and they said it would be included on a DVD of the season’s episodes.

The senior vice president for broadcast television at MPG, Carrie Drinkwater, had already issued guidelines to most of the advertisers amidst speculations to the broadcast of the episode that they will not advertise on an episode of a show that deals with a topic like abortion. She also indicated the disinterest of many advertisers in airing the episode. She said that while her firm has some advertisers from “Law & Order” none had been scheduled to have commercial spots in the episode. A inquiry from an NBC executive revealed that the advertising was indeed sold for the episode with no mention of the advertising companies.

Las Vegas was definitely an interesting show which lasts until February 2008, when it finally came to an end. The show gave a complete view of the entertainment and fun in the rich casinos and at the same time satisfying the enthusiastic tourists, con artists of all kinds and the heist planning going at the background.

The highlight of the show were the beautiful locations in which the shooting aware done. The cast consists of many sizzling and hot characters like Samantha (cast by the General Hospital’s Vanessa Marcil) and the head of operations Danny. The strongest character of the series is Ed tiller who is the hard to the core owner which is done by James Caan. Although in the fifth season the character was replaced by tem stellar. Danny who is yet to proves himself competent for Ed he has an affair with his daughter secretly.

This scored with the people and the secret affair between them formed the funny part of the show which became a huge hit with the masses. The show was all about the fascinating queries that surrounded while it was being telecast. How were the diamonds confiscated? Who were the ones forging the poker chips? Many characters from the “Crossing Jordan” were also featured in the five episode segments.

The show indeed presented a very exciting take on the casino hotels in Las Vegas. What actually was going about in the casino grounds and how it all was carried out? The show managed to draw great attention despite nominal works from rest of the cast, thanks to James Cann. It is very evident that it was a careful selection of versatile actors.

Every episode offered multiple stories carrying them off from one to other. It seemed as if the script writers had kind of mastered the art of writing coming up with new sequences and opportunities for potential characters every now and then. Luxury Casino “The Monceito” was a perfect location for a casino giving all new opportunities for characters to bring in new twists and tricks into the show. Celebrities like Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, have also made quite a few appearances on the show. For four seasons the show also featured Nikki Cox, a Baywatch actress, and others interesting characters that fit the story arcs.

The show also offers some wild incidences with the camera footage capturing the acts of people doing it within the secrecies of hotel premises. Amazingly, it was even possible to instantaneously search the footage pulling out just the right clue at the right time (12 minutes before the end of the show)

What the heck? The show had all the fun highlighting the true concept of “viva Las Vegas”. So, not many complaints regarding the show. I think it ultimate lived up to promise of the re-mixed Elvis song in its opening credits and grabbed a lot of public attention. It was truly more about actions and a little less about the boring conservations.

The art of television comedy will never would have changed to become a part of primetime viewing if it were not for the phenomenal TV show, Everybody Loves Raymond. The interest of the audience is highly aroused due to the fact that the plot and the scenes being shown on the show comes from the actual experiences of the lead character, Ray Romano and the show producer, Phil Rosenthal. There were episodes that were based on the lives of the writers and staff of the show. Other characters in the show are actually counterparts of real persons who are important to the lives of Ray Romano and Phil Rosenthal. This is what makes the show different from those currently existing in the broadcast business: the personal touch of the characters that play their roles in it.

The show was first aired on September 13, 1996 and from there it quickly gained much popularity in comparison to the competing shows at that moment. The 9 seasons that were produced are more than enough to be as evidence of the show’s appeal to the general audience of primetime television. In the summer of 2005, the show finally made its exit.

Raymond Barone is the main protagonist who works as a newspaper journalist in Long Island. His scope covers all the local athletic or sports events and local news. Raymond possessed a great sense of humor which entangled him to serious problems since many of his jokes were tactless and inappropriate to the situations. His family was composed of his wife (Patricia Heaton), Geoffrey and Michael his twin sons and Ally his daughter. Just across his house are his parents Marie and Frank and his brother Robert.

Debra finds it especially difficult to bear Marie’s company for any length of time. Marie often provokes such negative feelings in Debra by passing caustic comments and cosseting Ray.
