Sarah Palin’s views on America and the worth of every individual and the sanctity of life resonate: We are a great country and with strong leadership that believes in this nation’s potential our best days still lie ahead. We will dig ourselves out this economic mess and get our confidence and momentum back. I am sorry that some people’s parents didn’t teach them. The book is a continuation from the last book, where Sarah went around the country talking to people like us, where it became clear she understands us. Contrary to negative reviewers who have tried to stack the deck against Sarah Palin with phony reviews, my honest opinion is that Sarah is getting better with each book she writes. The book is honest and sincere, and very enjoyable. What Palin adds is some description of the destruction to people and country caused when we forget the truth of those old verities. People who want to believe in quick fixes, who hate the idea of competition and believe that we can all just get along if only we hold hands and sing Kumbaya, are not going to like this book. If anything, she’s not critical enough of America. She certainly is not critical enough of the very segment of the population that so envies her joy and sense of inner peace and wishes to see her fail. It is often asserted that the world has made a great deal of progress since 1776, that we have had new thoughts and new experiences which have given us a great advance over the people of that day, and that we may therefore very well discard their conclusions for something more modern. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but she pushes hers as more than just an opinion, she treats them as facts. Lots of assertions, no facts, and unsurprisingly disappoints. In one chapter she rants about self-centeredness in people yet she is always talking about pro-American. When’s the last time you heard commentary in other countries about pro-Canadians, pro-French, or pro-Japanese?

She goes off on Hollywood and builds a straw man to attack about how the liberal elite wouldn’t dare make a movie like Mr Smith now because Hollywood is all about supporting the liberal agenda. Apparently it is too complex of a topic for her to comprehend, but the reason another Mr Smith probably won’t be made is that Americans don’t go for that kind of entertainment any more.

Finally, it is Sarah Palin’s character – the woman behind the political titles, TV spots, and public speeches – that one comes to know through America by Heart. When she speaks of Harriet Tubman, she is humble: “Her wonderful little prayer is a good reminder to those of us with less courage and less strength that we can accomplish more if we just do the same.” Sara Palin understands this. It is quite clear that this book has the Left upset as they are making an all-out effort to destroy Sarah Palin’s effort to expose what is wrong with right and wrong with America today.

I hope you read this book in its entirety and think about it. I loved the book. I really liked “America by Heart” and gladly give it 5 stars. I liked “Going Rogue” too, but that one was more of a personal introduction to Sarah Palin and her family while this one gets more into her political, religious and cultural beliefs.

She believes the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are defining documents. The Constitution is the wall that separates freedom from tyranny.

Our “rights,” as American citizens, come from our written Constitution and its expressed ideals, not from “God.” She bad mouths even Ronald Reagan, George Bush I & II, Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton and of course President Obama.

I expect fully to get negative ratings with this review because to criticize Palin to a far right-winger is like criticizing Jesus himself. mens yoga clothing.

Thought I’d give it a try, couldn’t get past chapter two. Politics aside this book is self-serving and lacks any depth.

All these one star folks do is write nasty comments about any Conservative book writer. No one is going to make them happy other than some other liberal dunce who thinks like them.

Let’s say there is something wrong with a car, do we look try to see what the problem with the car is while we are trying to use it for transportation or after it went through a compactor? I don’t understand conservatives (who never fail to dissent from a war they disagree with) who think that our freedoms of speech really shouldn’t apply when at war. I would also be interested in actually reading this at some point, instead of listening to it. I was going to read the book but I got it off Audible. I gave 5 stars and she deserves 10 stars. The issue with people born with a silver spoon in their mouth is that they think they know what’s best for people like us, but they don’t. I don’t make a lot of money and I am not a liberal elite, so they can’t speak for me even though they try. She also provides thoughtful analysis of: other historical figures and movements (international ones as well), Hollywood and pop culture, womanhood, etc, She does this all without getting preachy. I give the book two stars for its propaganda value.

Ms Palin’s views on domestic policy, foreign policy and all other policies are a refreshing reminder that we can proudly say that we are in fact witnessing the emergence of a new breed of leader. Thank you, Governor, for having the courage to step out and risk scorn and ridicule from the political, media, academic and all other elites. Competition means that there are winners and losers who are determined by consumers (meaning you and me) instead of the government. There are some large corporations who would rather have a guarantee of success in the form of tax credits, slanted rules and other competition destroying mechanisms. These young people feel entitled to jobs and salaries they haven’t earned. And now, her daughter has made many more thousands of dollars on Dancing with the Stars. I have a better opinion than most, and I am 11. Looking forward to episode of her show tonight!

Instead it read to me like a pamphlet distributed at a college campus political rally, not anything substantive that would electrify conservatives or give birth to a movement, much less have any meaning on a world stage. While it is worth a read to get an updated view of Palin, I think it is a missed opportunity for her to be substantive and reach a bigger, more thoughtful mass of the electorate.

Sarah shares her feelings about family, faith, and the flag. It’s so refreshing to hear her speak so proudly and lovingly about the importance of each to her. On page 269, the last page of the manuscript, the Author says: “We can and should call each other out when we fall short of our beliefs.” America by Heart “calls out Sarah Palin” as she falls short of our beliefs.

It brings together a lot of the thinking that has made American the exceptional nation it is. There is a great deal in the book that can be read to kids to tell them about what their country means to them and the world.

Some criticize this book it because it is not sufficiently fresh, inspiring and original. To them I say, please read Kipling’s poem, The God of the Copybook Headings. Sarah has written in this book what I think and feel about America, its roots and its future. I thank God for Sarah’s willingness to stand up and boldly proclaim the greatness of America no matter how many pot shots are taken at her because of it. This time Sarah Palin goes over the greatness of America, and compares it to the history of Russia, and tells us why communism didn’t work. Obama and Biden can talk forever (and my how they drag on) but all that talking shows they just don’t understand the issue.

It goes on to talk about the amazing document that is the Constitution. She talks about her love for our basic rights that are not given by the government, only protected by it.

That is why Sarah Palin scares the “elite” so bad! Shake up the system with the unheard-of audacity of personal responsibility! Ms Palin, you’ve disappointed me. America by Heart lays out Governor Palin’s vision for America. Sarah Palin’s America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag does just that. The writer’s voice is warm and welcoming. She is like Middle America; a composite of who we are. Not perfect but with ideals and pride for this country. Where’s the level of discourse that she so admires in the Declaration of Independence and which would help establish common ground for solving national and world difficulties? If she thinks we should invade Iran, how would she do this with more success than in Iraq, and how would she balance the budget at the same time? For a book purporting to be about all the nice things this country has to offer, the author sure gets her nasty little “political” digs in. It’s certainly not a book to be giving in this gift-giving season.

This book is written in an entirely different manner and the content is true to the title “Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag” by Sarah Palin, former governor of Alaska who quit half-way thru her first term. I’m truly perplexed by the mean spirited reviewer’s fear of Palin.
