For the highest ratings of CBS the credit goes to the show CSI TV. This is an extraordinary blend of crime and drama. The show CSI is also known as CSI: Las Vegas. CSI means Crime Screen Investigation. Almost ten years back this show started on 6th October 2000. The producer of the show was Jerry Bruckheimer, the creator was Antony E Zuiker and most of the shooting was carried out at California’s Universal Studios.

Suspense and mysterious murders and the trace evidences left behind take the series further. The crime investigators try to solve the mystery by considering the evidences found at the site of crime and try to resolve the case. The series is focused on these crime investigators while doing this. This is done is a very logical manner. The people related to law enforcement have condemned the show intensely but it is hugely popular in public. It has high ratings and that too continuously ensuring the long lasting popularity.

Further the series became the most seen show in 2002 which made CBS to start off shoots like CSI: Miami and CSI: NY. They keep the watchers fixed at their seat for the entire episode of 90 minutes.

The members of the forensic team are the main characters in the series. At present the chiefs if the team are Ray Langston (actor is Laurence Fishburne) and Catherine Willows (played by Marg Helgenberger) who is the director of the night shift. They are level 2 and level 3 CSIs. It must have been noticed that there is a change in a lot of major characters throughout the ten sessions.

CSI has also seen the enactment of cameos by several well-known actors including Dakota Fanning, Kate Walsh, Stacey Dash, Kelly Rowan, Stephen Baldwin, Faye Dunaway, and Chad Michael Murrey to name a few. Kevin Federline also made a guest appearance in the seventh season episode titled “Fannysmackin’” in which he played a thug called ‘Pig.’ Singer Taylor Swift also enacted the role of Haley Jones in “Turn Turn Turn,” an episode in Season 9.

Each season has consisted of between 23 to 25 episodes though season 8 was unusually short with just 17 episodes. The most watched episode was that directed by Quentin Tarantino, aired on 19th of May, 2005 and viewed by an audience of well over 35 million. So far CBS has aired 206 episodes of CSI. With so many episodes aired, there’s a good chance you missed some or many of those and would like to watch them.
