This is one movie that you should not miss. Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a tale of your average kid with not so average dreams. Its tag line says it all “I’ll be famous one day, but for now I’m stuck in middle school with a bunch of morons”. This is kid’s movie which has almost everything for the audience, right from small kids to grownups. The comedy is in adequate dose and for the philosophers this movie imparts a lot of morale teaching too.
The movie draws its inspiration from the hugely popular book “The diary of the wimpy kid” by Jeff Kinney. Having read the book I can safely say that the movie has retained all the exciting and comic parts of the book and the story line does drifts more that necessary. The characters are exactly like in the book and they all have been created the way they should have been.
The story revolves around Greg Heffley (excellently portrayed by Zachary Gordon); he is normal looking average school kid who is starting with middle school. Once he is in the class he makes a promise to himself that he will break his nerdy image and will become the most popular guy in his class, so that girls will start liking him. He lives with his family that consists of father, mother and a very insane elder brother who keeps him in check with his numerous pranks.
Rowley and Heffley have been friends since children but when they arrive in middle school Rowley decides to avoid Heffley to gain social status. On the other hand Rowley is unaware of such a situation and he is quite happy with the things around him.
A major twist in the story comes when a comic made by Rowley becomes hit in the school while Heffley’s is sent to the sidelines. This leads to jealously and their friendship breaks. To show each other that they don’t need the friendship to live they make new friends and start pretending that life is good. But eventually the bubble bursts and both realize their error in ways.
Both the lead actors in the diary of the wimpy kid have performed exceptionally well. And more so their chemistry is spot on. They have defined the friendship between Heffley and Rowley very nicely. Their minor squabbles and fights have been enacted to perfection. As a result the effect is quite visible and it supplements the story of the movie greatly.
Overall this movie is pure unadulterated fun. The story is fresh and for the first time any movie deals with rigors of a middle schooled kid. It is highly recommended for movie goers of all ages and especially kids.

Kung Fu Panda Free Movies

Animation movies are almost always a fun watch. Not only do we enjoy the innovations of animation but the package also generally includes comedy and voiceovers by megastars which put together create a show that you really don’t want to miss. The Kung Fu Panda movie belongs to this category; released in 2008 and went on to become a big hit. Kung fu Panda is a story about a panda with the name Po. Po is a lazy and runs a small noodle shop and is fond of the sport Kung fu. Po is fascinated to such an extent that he doesn’t give much time to the running and profit making at his shop. Po is bored of his monotonous lifestyle, but his life suddenly takes a sudden turn when he comes to know that its him that one an ancient prophecy refers to.
After the declaration of this prophecy Po sets out on his journey to fulfil his duty of saving the Valley of Peace. He meets up with the Kung fu stars Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Mantis (Seth Rogan), Crane (David Cross), Monkey (Jackie Chan) and Viper
(Lucy Liu). These are the stars he always adored for their performances on stage. Po starts off with his training under Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman). The threat mentioned in the prophecy actually comes from Tai Lung (Ian McShane). Tai Lung is a snow leopard that was trained for good by Master Shifu that over a period of time became a threat for his trainer. Master Shifu truly believes that one fine day Po will master the skills of Kung fu and beat Tai Lung and starts off with the transforming training of Po towards ‘The Dragon Warrior’.
Grasping storyline, witty humour and interesting plot are some elements of the movie that succeed at keeping the viewers glued to the screen. The overwhelming response received by Kung fu Panda at the 61st Cannes Film Festival was clearly evident which was followed by the release of this movie over the rest of the world.
Kung Fu Panda is definitely a movie that can be watched again and again. Though it’s been released on DVD and Blu-Ray Disc since, there’s no need for you to spend from your pocket to enjoy this well-made animation all over again.

The zombieland movie is the best horror comedy released in 2009. It takes places in the post apocalypse caused by zombies, which happens due to the infections caused by mad cow disease, causing the eradication of human race, though four survivors are left. Zombieland is about how they survive further with zombies swarming all over.
zombieland directed by debutant director Ruben Fleischer who has mastered the skills of directing which is very well shown in this neck breaking speed entertainer. The screen play is done by the duo Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick who have proved themselves with the ever guessing plots and sequences which continue one after the other.
The casts of the zombieland movie is done very well and it has got only four main characters as they are the only survivors left out. Columbus who narrates at the beginning to explain what has happened is played by Jesse Eisenberg. And his companion a rather opposite character Tallahassee is played by woody harrelson who is on the quest to find Twinkies and meets Columbus accidentally.
The two sister Wichita and little rocks who con the two guys and hijack their vehicle are played by Emma stone and Abigail Breslin. The characters are called by the name of the place they come from which is later explained by Tallahassee, that they don’t get attached to each other. All the characters in zombieland movie are portrayed hilarious as well as showing serious action while fighting against zombies.
Zombieland has got a good screen play with each scene going at flashing speed. The lines are cheeky and gag us with laughter. The rules of survival by Columbus are funny and the unruly Tallahassee makes it funnier with his creative attacks to kill zombies. The rules appear at each scene where they come handy and further rules are added as the film goes.
