The Home of Dark Butterflies is a Finnish movie which is based on the award winning novel by Leena lander, which goes by the same name. The film is about a teenage boy, Juhani, who is sent to a foster home called “The Island”. He is determined to shape his future battling against terrible odds in the prison-like foster home.

The lead role of Juhani is played by Niilo Syvoja. The other main character in the movie is the ruthless superintendent of the foster home, Olavi harjua. His role is played by Tommi Korpela. Other than these two, the other boys of the home, Olavi’s family members, Tyyne who is incharge of the livestock, form the remaining cast of the movie.

Juhani has a troubled past as he is burdened, purportedly, with killing his sibling during childhood. After moving from foster home to foster home, he finally lands in the worst possible one of them all, ‘The island’. The place is like a military regime run by Olavi as its dictator. Juhani along with the other boys face a life of hardship in the foster home.

All the boys in ‘The Island’, similar to Juhani, share distraught memories and troubled childhood. They all live in the foster home, which is practically isolated from rest of civilisation, work and attend school. The plot of the movie follows Juhani’s life filled with hardships here, as the secrets of his past are slowly unveiled through a series of flashbacks.

As the film proceeds, Juhani falls in love with Vanamo, one of the daughters of Olavi. She spends all her time when not attending school with him. Kristina Haaltu plays the role of Olavi’s wife, Irene, who gets attracted towards one of the boys in the home. After listening to his story of sexual and physical abuse, Irene has an affair with him.

The film addresses dark issues such as murder, abuse and suicide and at the same time portrays love and determination too. The whole setting of the film is very dramatic and is sure to leave you wondering how long one has to suffer to wash his hands clean of his mistakes. The background score to the movie perfectly suits the mood of the film and was done by Panu Aaltio.

Dome Karukoski, the director of The Home of Dark Butterflies movie, won the Jussi award for the Best direction in 2009. Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – What’s Happening?

The fourth and final installment of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn, is said to debut on the silver screen sometime in 2011 in the United States. This highly anticipated movie will tie up all the loose ends for those who have followed Edward, Bella, Jacob and the rest of the packs and clans whose stories became tied together in previous films.

Following the expected route which the first three films have already taken, Breaking Dawn is going to be completed by a new director. The other directors were Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), Chris Weitz (New Moon), and David Slade (Eclipse). It would be difficult to guess that it wasn’t the same director for all the films; the final outcome has been seamless thus far. The director who is at the top of the list is Bill Condon; his most well-known previous work is the 2006 musical film Dreamgirls.

Although Condon is expected to be the director, directors Gus Van Sant and Sofia Coppola have also been approached about the possibility; there still hasn’t been one to officially step forward and accept. The major stars created out of the saga, Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson, or Bella and Edward, personally would enjoy working with Van Sant.

The cast for Breaking Dawn is, for now, the same as the other films. The only casting mishap that has yet to occur is with the character Victoria who was played by a different actress in the third, Eclipse, from the first two. However, this character won’t be needed in this fourth part of the story.

One of the major questions that remains unanswered at the moment is whether or not the movie will be split into two. The extremely popular Harry Potter is using this tactic in the last film, making the seven book series into eight movies. Since this imperative question doesn’t have an answer yet, the creation process is at a halt. If this means something of importance, a majority of the actors, and even Stephenie Meyer herself, hope that it will become two films. Being the longest book in the saga, there will be a lot of information to cover in Breaking Dawn.

There have even been questions as to whether the movie will come out in 3-D; this is probably to quench the currently popular craze for this added effect to action and adventure films. As far as the actors are concerned, they’re not quite as enthusiastic about the possibility and would rather not see this happen.

With Eclipse coming out in theaters so soon after New Moon (seven months later), the public is beginning to wonder how far behind Breaking Dawn will be. The movie has yet to even begin production because the major decisions, like the Director and splitting the film in two, have yet to be solidified.

While the first third of the saga is debuting fast enough to keep the thousands of fans at bay, there is some concern about the time the filmmakers are taking to make imperative executive decisions regarding the fourth installment. The Twilight books and movies have a widespread and very dedicated fan-base. Therefore, regardless of how the film is made and whom by, these fans are already preparing themselves for the final outcome of the well-known story.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 movie is a remake of its 1984 counterpart being released in a view of reigniting the “A Nightmare on Elm Street” franchise. Directed by Samuel Bayer, the film is about the dreams of Nancy Holbrook, played by Rooney Mara. Suddenly Nancy and her friends discover that they were all subjected to physical and sexual abuse in their childhood days by Freddy Krueger, played by Jackie Earle Haley and that is when Freddy starts stalking Nancy in her dreams. What currently makes her dreams is that the children who got Freddy in the hands of their parents are now being killed by Freddy, who takes form as a supernatural power. Thus the film starts off on a thrilling note!

Producer Brad Fuller makes a note that it was the primary need to present a more petrifying version of the original movie that led to the remake idea. The intention is clearly shown by avoiding even the silly jokes of Freddy! When the original was released, the character Freddy went on to make a huge impact and the director says that he wanted to make the character scarier so that the audience is terrified to the hell. The concept of someone put to death if they fall asleep is really very captivating!

Jackie fits the role of Freddy to a tee! He is being cast as a psychopath and his own physical features being made out to showcase him as a burn victim brings out the intended scary effect! Rooney Mara portrays beautifully the role of Nancy Thompson who is sketched as a timid character unlike the character Nancy in the original.

The film hit the theatres on April 30, 2010. The entire costs involved in making the movie summed up to about $35 billion. Though there was an initial confusion of presenting the movie in 3D, the producer and the director dropped the idea as they wanted to continue the sequel in the same format. My Skills In Writing Eversince I Was A Kid

Since I was a little kid I’ve wanted to be a writer. I started writing in grammar school. I would write skits and have my friends perform them.

After childhood I went through a phase where I didn’t write much though. I was an English major in college, but I only took a couple of writing classes. Then I went to law school and really put writing on the back burner. But I realized after two years in law school – I really missed the writing.

I decided to rekindle that passion. I signed up for some creative writing classes. That was step one. But the other thing I did was actually even more important to my development as a writer – I joined an online writing workshop.

The group only met in person twice a month. We would all upload our work to the online group age so that we could read each other’s stuff, then when we came together twice a month at a local restaurant we’d do discussion and critique of the work.

I started to write a novel during this period. Boy it was scary, but I decided to share it with the group so I could get some feedback. While I got the critique it helped me to realize that the novel wasn’t where it should be yet.

This could have been very discouraging, but oddly it wasn’t. Instead, I found it very constructive, and I was newly encouraged. The group members were positive about the work, thought it showed promise, and gave me direction for how to develop as a writer. Then I wrote a short story for critique and the group loved it. In a short span of time, with their help, I had grown greatly as a writer.

I’m still in this group two years later. I get valuable feedback and have a great time. In fact, I like it so much that I have joined two others. I like being in groups with people who share my passions and interests.

Not only has my writing improved a great deal, but I have made new friends. I now have a social network of people who have the same interests and passions that I do. It’s just a great experience all around.
