There is no airport on the the island of Formentera so most people arrive at Port de la Savina. The port grew from a natural harbor that was used to export Sabina pine, thus its name. These days it is not so much a commercial port as a tourist hub with a beautiful marina.
You can take the ferry from La Savina to many different locations, from the neighboring island of Espalmador all the way to the Denia. There are connections to the other Balearic islands, via Sant Antoni and Palma. In the winter months the ferries between Ibiza and Formentera are the most frequent.
La Savina is an excellent place to get everything you need for your vacation on Formentera. You can pop into the tourist office to get a map, and then head to the shops to rent a bike or car. Once you have done with all your shopping there are some nice tapas places overlooking the marina. La Savina is not somewhere that you will want to stay for a long time, but it’s a good place to start your holiday.
Just behind La Savina is the saltwater lagoon known as Estany des Peix. Its shallow warm waters are excellent for water sports. You don’t need to worry about big ferries getting in your way as only the narrowest boats fit into the channel that connects Estany des Peix to the sea. Estant Pudent and Es Trucadors are also close by La Savina.
The first destination for many people who arrive at La Savina is Es Pujols. This resort village has a great beach and warm shallow waters which are ideal for water sports. There is disabled access to the ocean and it is a very family friendly area. Whilst there are a lot of you tourists here it is not like the wild party atmosphere that you get in Ibiza.
In the evenings Es Pujols turns into a lively network of market stalls along the promenade of Avenida Miramar and into the high street of Passeig des Plameres. The locals, some of whom are aging hippies, sell a lot of hand made goods.

The’80′s saw a lot of sci-fi Hollywood movies released each year, but none of these movies came close to being as great and magnificent as The Back to the Future movie. The movie was directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by him and Bob Gale. The king of sci-fi Hollywood movies, Steven Spielberg produced the movie.
The movie brought a whole new perspective to time travelling and changed the way people looked at or thought about time travel as earlier everyone only related time travel to the future. But in the movie Marty McFly who is the protagonist meets Dr. Emmet Brown who builds a time machine that takes them into the past and then back to the future.
People who lived in the 80′s, kids and adults both, were totally entranced by this new concept and even today many think it is one of the most brilliant sci-fi movie ever. The movie starts with Michael J. Fox who plays Marty and his weird and eccentric friend Dr. Emmet Brown played by Christopher Lloyd trying to work on a futuristic looking car that can time travel.
Dr. Emmet Brown, who Marty refers to as ‘Doc’, experiments on a lot of different things but is never successful but after testing the time machine car on his dog he and Marty are excited about traveling into the future. But instead of the future due to some error Marty lands in past, in’55, where he gets to meet his parents in their teens. Marty needs to be very cautious as one wrong move in the past can put his existence in the future in jeopardy.
Most kids or adults who watch the movie even today feel that this movie was ahead of its time and is still thought by many as a true science fiction gem. The movie is not only packed with a great storyline and excellent graphics but also the acting is top class by all the stars. Even the dialogues and humor in the movie are unforgettable.

Ballet Shoes, directed by Sandra Goldbacher, is based on the children’s classic by Noel Streatfield. This is Emma Watson’s first film after the Harry Potter series and naturally the expectations are sky high. The director must be lauded for her beautiful adaptation of the classic. The film is set in London in the backdrop of 1930s’.
Pauline, Petrova and Posy Fossil are three orphaned sisters who are adopted by an eccentric Great Uncle Matthew or Gum as he is more commonly known. He entrusts the care of the girls to her niece Emilia Fox who bestows upon the girls a selfless love. The three girls have their share of aspirations and ambitions – Pauline aspires to become an actress, Petrova wants to fly airplanes and Posy harbors hopes of becoming a ballet dancer.
The family is seen cash strapped and they live in abject poverty. There are lots of financial strains on the girls and they begin to feel exhausted, both emotionally and physically. Very soon they realized that there are obstacles galore between aspirations and reality.
The tenants were Mr. Simpson, the garage owner, Drs Jake and Smith, the retired professors and Theo Dane the professional dancer. The girls were lovely people who struggled with Sylvia to save their home and at the same time pursue their ambitions in life. Mr. Simpson had a tragic past and a keen interest in cars. Drs Jake and Smith help the girls with lessons. Theo helps them by admitting the three girls in the dance school where she is a teacher. The three girls take to stage to raise the required money. Ultimately the three girls find their true talents – Pauline is an actress, Petrova fixes engines and Posy becomes a dancer.
The film is a charming flick with a beautiful screenplay by Heidi Thomas. The film has a happy ending but is free from any clichs or unnecessary mushiness that is very prevalent in such family dramas.
Emma Watson managed to get out of the character of Hermione and plays the character of Pauline brilliantly. Lucy Boynton who plays the role of Posy Fossil is perfect with her dialogue delivery and does the comic scenes with ease. Yasmin Paige as the third sister executed her role well and she along with Lucy are definite stars of tomorrow.
This is a wonderful movie and I would request you not to form an opinion about the film just by seeing the trailers. You need to watch it to like it. Sadly, there had been no theatrical release for this film. So I suggest you watch Ballet Shoes online free on a Sunday afternoon and enjoy the movie to the fullest. Ulrich Seidl, a film maker and Australian writer wrote the story of the Import Export movie. He claimed that through this movie, he looked “directly in to hell” in a clearer and sharper way. According to him, the current workforce contributes to human pain and the costs due to globalization. Values of human compassion, he feels have taken a secondary seat. The fore seat is taken up by something which cannot be described but which is far darker – cruelty and glee in painful spectacles.
Import Export is a depressing movie which takes a look at two lives that are parallel in Ukraine and Austria. The first story main lead is Olga (Ekateryna Rak), a nurse by profession who is also a single mother struggling to make ends meet. The pay that she gets is not adequate and the housing conditions are terrible. She reaches her saturation limit one fine day, and decides to leave her child with her mother and move to Vienna to look for a job as a cleaner or a nanny. Our second story lead is Paul, (Paul Hoffman) who belongs to the working class in Austria. His body has more number of tattoos and he has lesser qualifications. He is fired by his security firm for getting beaten up by drunken delinquents. The only choice he has now to survive is to go with his womanising, repulsive, unpleasant, step-father, Michael (Michael Thomas) to Ukraine and sell gumball machines, fruit machines etc, which are second hand, to bars and cafes.
Meanwhile, Olga gets herself a job as a cleaner cum nanny in a house where the children of the house and the housewife treat her with contempt and fire her peremptorily with a day’s notice. She does not have a nursing licence therefore becomes a cleaner at a geriatric hospital where she cannot come near the patients or touch them. Here too she is not spared, the ward-sister is spiteful and constantly keeps bullying her by she finds comfort with Erich, a patient who is kind toward her.
The film is shot in winter, therefore differences between of the housing conditions in affluent Austria and desolate Ukraine housing estates are blaring. This is a movie that cannot be watched with children as it depicts the sex industry very close to reality, where the rich use and exploit prostitutes for their own entertainment and pleasure. The crass treatment meted out to the sex workers like treating them as if they had no feelings, abusing and humiliating them constantly is vividly captured. If you like ambition stories, then Never Back Down is the one for you. This is a story about a guy called Jake, the key factor behind his teams winning at a match. A comment from the lost opponent team sets his fuses off and the resulting brawl found a slot at Youtube. Jake, in the last year of the school, gets chucked out from the basketball team. Jake and his family then moves to Orlando, Florida.
Jakes brother, in the meantime, received a tennis scholarship at Orlando, Florida and the whole family moves there, but Jake, due to his habit of inviting troubles too often, finds it hard fitting in his new school. But that doesnt stop him from catching the eyes of one Baja Miller, willing to flirt big time. Whether such events turn most people heroic or not is a different question, but Jake interrupted a street-kickboxing session to rescue his fellow student Max thinking it to be a real scrap. The reward for his heroism was a general demand for an astonished Jake to leave, only until his Youtube brawl got flashed.
So, Jake starts getting some positive reputation in the campus; even Max suggests that he meets his instructor to learn advanced fighting techniques. Baja plays it a bit different, to show her appreciation to Jake, she invites him to a party her boyfriend Ryan has thrown. Jake does what every man would do, only to decline challenges later at the party, thrown by none but Ryan. It took him sometime to realize that hes been set up and the same cruel joke makes an angry Jake fight and accept defeat miserably.
The movie revolves around how Jake deals with the different situations he has around him. By making him promise not to use his martial arts techniques outside the ring, Jakes mentor is only teaching him how to control his anger and temper and avoid getting into unnecessary brawls and street fights. While Jake thinks all hes learning is martial arts, sub consciously he is learning how to master his mind and emotions and build himself into an organized force capable of taking enemies down without getting emotionally involved like before. The movie also brings back memories of how easy it is to get provoked into fighting with someone, especially at school. Kids can be mean and negative, but fighting with them isnt the only way deal with it. The movie explores how Jake wins by controlling himself rather than giving in to emotional outbursts.

Aliens In The Attic Free Online

Aliens in the Attic movie is written by Mark Burton and Adam F. Goldberg. This is a complete family oriented movie set in Michigan but originally shot in New Zealand. There are two parts to it. Because the digital effects are good and the cast is athletic, the action is a lot more believable. The movie is based on alien invading the Earth. All the characters in the movie are funny and appealing.
Care has been taken not to make the aliens look mechanical in their appearance. They speak in English. The aliens are four in number, commanded by Skip (J.K.Simmons’ voice) a warrior Razor who is a girl (Kari Wahlgren’s voice), muscular Tazer (Voiced by Thomas Church) and Sparks (Voiced by Josh Peek). The action is not too graphic which is a pleasant change for children movies.
Parents, Kevin Nealon and Gillian Vigman decide to go on a fishing vacation to their lake home in Michigan accompanied by their children. They have three of them, Carter Jenkins (who is a brainy child but fails in math), Ashley Tisdale (who has an annoying, creepy boyfriend Robert Hoffman) and Ashley Boettcher (whose primary role in the movie is to look adorable). Their relatives, family number two, consisting of the dad (Andy Richter), a beer drinker, a grandmother an off centred woman (Doris Roberts), a male teen (Austin Butler) and a pair of identical twins (Henri and Regan Young) join them.
A meteor shower hits the house’s attic and leaves four tiny aliens behind in it, disrupting their vacation. The aliens want to destroy man-kind by turning adult humans in to robots that are remotely controlled. They accomplish this, by injecting the adults in the neck, then implanting a device through which the adults brain and movements can be remote controlled. The implant is ineffective on children so they are spared. It is now up to the children to protect the adults and to the save the world.
One of the first adults to get implanted is Robert Hoffman. The remote control which is meant to control his brain somehow finds its way in to the children’s hands who use it to make Robert slap himself, dance, twist, jerk and flip his body and then cannonball in to many embarrassing situations. The most interesting scene is a kung-fu style, full contact fight scene between Robert and Doris.

How To Watch Chicken Run If You Missed It

This animated film directed by Peter Lord and Nick Park was one of the major hits of 2000. The film was hugely successful world over and has won lots of awards and nominations including a Golden Globe nomination. Chicken Run can be best described as a comedy drama set in the Yorkshire Chicken Farm in England during the 1950s’.
The film has a really simple tale to tell. Mr and Mrs Tweedy own a chicken farm that is known as the Tweedy Egg Farm. They have formulated very hard rules which states clearly that hens which do not produce the required number of eggs will be chopped straightaway. The chickens are a lucky lot as they do not have any such rules to follow.
However Ginger, the leader of the chicken family, hatches one plan after another to escape from the farm but all meets disastrous results as he is always let down by his companions. One night a chicken gets axed in the farm and this leaves Ginger unhappy. He is wandering in the farm when suddenly he notices a rooster crashing on to the farm. He introduces himself as a member of the nearby circus and his name is Rocky.
Rocky begins training Ginger and in the process does not miss an opportunity to irritate Ginger and Officer Fowler. A lot of funny incidents take place in the farm and slowly but steadily a romance brews between Rocky and Ginger. On the other side of the story, the Tweedys’ purchased a machine to make chicken pies. Mr Tweedy had grand plans to convert all the chickens into juicy pies. Ginger was now panicked. She, along with her friends, needs to flee the farms as soon as possible. The sequences of events that follow are really funny and you need to watch the film to really enjoy it. I am not going to give away the ending and spoil the fun for you.
The Chicken Run movie is an out and out entertainer and can be enjoyed by the whole family. The kids will simply love it. The flick scores a point or two more than other animation films as it successfully blends humor and intellectual parodies. The dialogue deliveries are simply brilliant. Mel Gibson as Rocky is outstanding and voice modulations will leave you speechless. Julia Sawalha as the voice of Ginger is also very convincing.
If you really hell bent on finding some fault in this movie then you can point to the animated chicken characters. The animated characters do not really look like the actual chickens. But this hardly makes any difference to the uniqueness or novelty of the film.
